Our 2007 Travels: Sutherlin, Oregon
SUTHERLIN, OR 5/4
“The SKP Escapade was great! The fairgrounds had lovely landscaping…lots of roses and rose trees in full bloom, and the parking crew very efficient in getting about 1,000 RVs parked! I sold several books, met a lot of great people and handed out a lot of calling cards for (hopefully) further contacts.
From Stockton, CA we headed north on I-5. It is definitely spring in Northern California and Southern Oregon. Coming from the Arizona desert into this countryside of emerald green hills was quite a dramatic change, and I marveled at the all the “Green!” And, instead of blooming cactus, I admired the many blossoming trees and shrubs.
The past few days have been spent at an SKP park in Sutherlin,
Oregon. The park is built on a hillside, with woods behind it, and a creek on one side. Very nice…and wildlife in the park seems abundant, as we have seen deer, jack rabbits, squirrels and, believe it or not…wild turkeys!
Next we will head west on Highway #138, and then on #38 to the Pacific coast. Our first destination will be Winchester Bay near the town of Reedsport. And after that? We will travel north on Highway #101. Adventures await us!”

Here are some photos from the 2007 SKP Escapade in Stockton, CA this April:
Our ”rig” at the Stockton, CA Fairgrounds
My first four books were featured at the SkP Escapade.
Here I am at the RV Authors’ Co-op booth.
It was a busy place!
I loved having the chance to share my books at the SKP Escapade. Thanks to all of you who stopped by the booth–giving me the opportunity to meet some of my readers and make some new friends.

Meet me at the Spring 2007 Espcapade: April 21 – 25
My first four books–Canadian Summers, Meanderings in the West, Southwest Adventures, and Exploring the Southeast–will be available at the Spring Escapade in Stockton, CA on Saturday, April 21 through Wednesday, April 25, 2007. I look forward to meeting some of my readers, answering questions, and autographing your books.
The RV Authors’ Co-op was formed as a loose association of RV authors to present and sell books at the Escapees RV Club’s Escapade and other RV events. The authors have found that booths at RV events are often more than one author can afford and attendees like to find a good selection of books together. Thus the idea for a co-operative was born. Neil LeKander, Alice Zyetz, and Jaimie Hall formed the co-op in 2005 and had our first event.
